1. Volume and height set the price. The resin consumed and the number of layers the machine has to expose are the cost. A tall part is slower than a wide one of the same volume, because height is layers and layers are time.
2. Orientation changes the part. Which way the part is built decides where the supports touch it, how the surfaces finish and which direction is weakest. A good bureau will tell you how they intend to orient it.
3. It is a prototype process by default. SLA parts are dimensionally excellent and generally less tough than moulded or machined ones, and most resins are not for long-term outdoor or structural use. Where the part has to perform rather than demonstrate, ask about the material before the price.

What changes the price, and what does not

What moves the number: part volume, build height, resin, finishing and how many fit in one build. What moves it less: geometric complexity, which is close to free on a printed part and expensive on a machined one.
